Typically, one of the first rooms we go to when we wake up, and the last room before bed. A little styling effort goes a long way when it comes to dressing up your bathroom space.
1. Styling the vanity benchtop
Understandably, a lot of planning goes into selecting your vanity finishes, so the last thing we want to do is hide the benchtop.
First things first—add a tray.
Using a base will instantly make your accessories have a ‘home’ and feel like they belong.
Next step—add an odd number of accessories on the tray. This may sound strange but having an odd number of items and working with different heights makes it feel balanced and aesthetically pleasing as opposed to similar items.
Such items could include; hand wash, hand lotion, candle, small vase, toothbrushes in holder, etc.
2. Adding Texture To Your Bathroom
Towels are a good way for adding texture to your bathroom space. Consider towels to be your ‘artwork’ within the bathroom.
Stylish and bold towels are easy to find these days with retailers such as, Adairs and Bed Bath N’ Table, who have a great range of affordable on-trend bath towels.
3. Adding a Stool
Using a stool is one of our favourite ways of adding style to a bathroom.
Whilst simple, it adds a lot of warmth to the room, especially if using timber finish stools.
Small hand towels, candles and body products are just some examples of items you could display on top. However, the stool could be bare and look just as good.
4. Incorporate Nature
Greenery is a great way to freshen up your space, as most bathrooms are often neutral toning or monochrome, allowing these elements to pop!
No matter what colour scheme you are working with, a plant or two will work perfectly in your space.
If you haven’t got a ‘green thumb’, a succulent is a great plant to add, whilst having less maintenance.
Alternatively, dried flowers are another option to achieve the look, with long-lasting, low-maintenance characteristics.
